Finally! someone with enough creative guts  to shove some elegance into the African print fabric . I watched  the world fall in love with Africa inspired prints but I think my love affair just started with Stella jeans spring summer collection . This collection reeks of inspiration from the ladies who elegantly walked the streets in the 50′s  .   Armed with  classic cut  silhouettes and  gaze holding prints,  this collection  just gave  the African print a face lift . Rihanna for River Island

Rihanna has been curating a new style aesthetic for the past few months, a sporty/sexy mix that finds her one day in Timbs and jeans, and another in an understated skin clinging spaghetti strapped dress and simple ankle strap heels. For casual excursions and airport pit stops, you’ll see her in loose fit trousers and t-shirts. When she glams up for a night out, her slim yet curvy build can make even the most unassuming tank dress or high slit skirt shine. Her collection for River Island, which debuted last night in London, speaks to her current fashionable proclivities. Cropped tops, Varsity jackets, and slick pencil skirts reigned supreme, as did high cut swimsuits and form skimming floral separates.



 

 

 

 

Abdomen baring blouses were paired with thigh revealing skirts and shorts, accessorized by chunky platform boots, single strap sandals, hoops, and name plate necklaces.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I was not wow'd at all. Sort of disappointed, I didn't feel this show gave me Rihanna at all.. What are your thoughts?

Jeremy Scott’s collections always present fun, irreverent pieces for the kid at heart, and Fall 2013 was no exception. For this latest foray, Scott dipped back to his childhood, splashing sweaters, bombers, and barely there mini skirts with prints steeped in mid 80′s nostalgia.

Beyonce has been bring us the business since the new year began, she hasn't even given us time to blink before she started bringing us the heat. Don't call it a come back, but Mrs. Carter is making show stopping entrance into 2013. She is defiantly a must watch for this year.
